Due to me being a bit of a loser, i'm struggling to fit my MSV half cage in my 172. I've only got another hour and 40 minutes till my mrs gets in and will want me to do family stuff!! so i need to do it asap!

Anyone got any pics? Up close and personal so to speak??

Cheers chaps!!

It's easy mate!

Which part are you stuck on?

Back bar goes on using the big spacers into the rear seatbelt mounting point, and the front one attaches to the front seat belt mount (smaller spacer in between the belt runner and the bar)

Roll bar then sits on top of these.

Oh thank god you're here!!

Its all in and fitted, but the back bar, even with the big spacers, is too short. the rear bar, including the spacers has about an inch gap on either side. Meaning the spacers can slide about.

Is this because the car is stripped? ie there is no rear belt mountings or plastics, so could that be the difference between your car and my car??

Most likely, should be able to compensate with more spacers.

Might need a trip to B&Q then.

Dan, I had this same problem, my car is completely stripped (see http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=273464) and I fitted mine last weekend. I found perfect additional spacers were in fact the rubber that is under the carpet in the driver and passenger footwell's, cut two small squares for each side on the rear bar and one small square of rubber for each of the fronts, fitted in very securely now and no rattle of movement whatsoever.

I'm feeding Alfie at the minute, as soon as the wife comes back from the gym, i'm off to B&Q!!
