Cut my losses

Ok folks - got a bit of a dilema here which i need help with;

Back in Febuary i bought a valver from an auction and have been spending sh*tloads getting back into decent shape with repairs and mods but this has now run into thousands (nearing 8k). Im currently waiting for it to come back from the dealer tomorrow with another 1k bill and to be honest its getting annoying.

What i want to know is should i keep going with this car (and maybe go further into debt) or cut my losses and get something else? If i do, what would you suggest i get (considering am a hardcore renault boy!)? I like the sound of a V6 but at 22 would insurance be ok?

Many Thanks,

DB

Ouch - thats big money! What stage are you at with it? It would be a shame to spend so much and get nothing out of it! On the other hand ouy may just loose more by throwing more cash at it!

I was thinking of going down the auction, but I think u just put me off m8!

Soz its cost so much, but I agree, if youve gone this far, u may as well carry on!

Thanks folks for the advice - guess im just feeling a bit depressed cos its been away for 3 weeks! :( Youre probably right - may as well keep it as there cant be much more that can go wrong with it - engine has been reconditioned, new clutch, alternator, cooling system, steering rack...err....the list goes on!

Ill post some pics once i get it back to see what you all think....

if u can afford to think about getting a V6 then surely u can afford 2 run a valver

if you can afford a £8 on repairs and mods why not buy something with a warranty left on it like a 172?

from what u say u have had done to it, i would keep it for a while as it must be like a new engine/car atm. stick it out for a bit more and get something back for the dosh u had to spend.
