Cruise Control - Speedo Problem Fixed...

Put the car into renault for a week, for a list of many faults. They changed the clocks, and on the way home the system works fine. Read 71mph at 70 on the motorway, 30 in the 30. Well smart..

Only one problem, my speedo reads 6 mile now when it was on 11,800 before.

Hmm, will have to get that changed..

Did you have major speedo problems, or was it that the speedo was slightly off the cruise ?

The reason why I ask is both my 182s were/are a bit over the cruise speed displayed... doesnt bother me, but Im wondering if I can get it fixed for free!

From what i understand its normal? ?

I though all speedos were set to overread the speed by a few mph anyway.
But the cruise is digital and doesnt have that buffer ?

Mine was the usual select 70 on cruise control, and it would do 75 ish

Took it into renault, they looked at it and changed the instrument panel. Works ok now.

There was not a problem in the first place, the speed limiter worked as advertised, but the cruise control was out of sync with the speed.

I could of lived with it, but i had to complain. Now i have the issue of the mileage now reading 19 miles, and not the 12,000 it was on...!!! as they changed the clocks, and must of changed other things..

Its a renault to go one so therefore serviced at 10k, then at 12k when i bought it. Suppose its 12k worth of free running about, aslong as i dont need a garage in that time. Tho, they did not stamp me service book.

Ill let them know next time i take it in. As its mileage fraud, and thats illegal...



ive had so many problems with the car, and with the paintwork, im going into see the sales manager about swapping the car for another 182 with 6k on the clock. When they had the car, they washed it, and me stickers down the door have started to peel, i knew they were not peeling in the first place, but i think they have ran over it with the machine....
