to my knowledge, NO, because there is no connection point in the back of the standard headunit to connect the cable that run to the Amp :)

do you not have an amp?, if you dont then its deffinatly not ideal to connect to the head unit. however iirc when you spade it onto the headunit wires then the sub is greatly underpowered, and you wont be able to hear the sound, hence thats y you need an amp to power them so i spose the awnser is no if you want to hear it

all you need is an audio connection and then possibly a remote connection, but i dont know either of these on the standard oem wirring, i have a sony one, i would say get a cheap headunit or you'll start cutting wires where not really neccessary

You can get an adaptor that uses the rear speaker wires from the headunit that then goes into a box which converts them to rcas(phono leads) which can then be plugged into an amp. It sounds rubbish tho!!! i do this for a living and its no where near as good as an aftermarket headunit with proper preouts.

yeh i did it for my brothers clio. I thought it sounded ok but then agen he only had four 6x9s on it as he listens to dance and mc'in and didnt want too much bass, but it still sounded gud.

You need either a line level->rca converter, or if you've got an amp with line level inputs then use them.

You'll need a LOC (line output convertor). They vary a lot in quality and thus sound quality can suffer.

Do a Google for "Dave Navone LOC" and see what you find- he's supposed to make some top notch ones that give excellent quality sound. ;)
