Monaro VXR/Cupra TDi
Noticed one of the silencer cans on my 182 Cup had come off it's bracket after a session of hard driving the other night.
Clipped the hanger back into it's bracket and noticed that the tailpipes are poking out by 10 mm, and both have dropped by circa 10 mm. All bolts on the brackets checked. Both silencer's firmly in place with minimal movement.
The exhaust is a BTB full system with de-cat.
Obviously something has moved as it's not same posistion as before. Haven't noticed blowing from the exhaust, sounds as it did before.
Question is, what is most likely to have caused the silencer's to move? And is it something to be concerned about?
