Comps vs coaxials

Right, if i buy a really decent set of components... do i really need the coaxial speakers in the passenger seats at the back ? I have subs, so bottom end won't be a problem just mid range perhaps?

no need for co-axials in back if you have sub,will just be drowned out and draw the sound stage back

Brilliant mate, i did think it seemed abit unnessary to have another set for passengers, im just gna take my current ones out then.. Cheers !

Has anyone done that? Taken them out, had a decent of comps at the front combined with subs, does it make a huge difference

i have,even if your not amping then the quality will be massively increased due to removing a set of speakers,do a test if you want,put your front ones in,then listen then plug in your rears and hear the quality and volume drop then unplug and will increase again

Ah quality, i find that my back passenger speakers really rattle the outside of my car on either side of them, so taking them out is going to reduce the rattle as well. So its win win really... i think i will amp them got to get the best out of them really

i have infinity comps atm,they do the job for what i want,i dont buy top end stuff for myself,i just like something that'll do,i dont have money to burn like some people.lol

Neither do i .... im going to buy the new alpine type r comps... look really smart and powerful for what they are. £109 quid so not so bad. Been looking around and some stuff can go up to like 500+ how much better than they be than like yours or the ones i will be getting?
