Code readers

Obviously i dont have clip (think that's what it's called 🤪) so would a generic code reader be decent enough for a scan, my 172 eml came on about 5months ago when travelling to work and has stayed on, car runs as should and have noticed no difference, I'm guessing it's one of the lambda's in the sports cat but just want to scan it first, any recommendations

I got an iCarsoft Pro for mine and it’s a nice little unit for various cars.. reads live data etc.

Seems a good product but a bit more than I'm looking to pay, might just get a cheap one to do via my fone to see if it can give me a code for the light
