Changing gear knob & handbrake

  08 Clio
In my Clio, the gear knob obviously, looking a the pictures, isn't a screw fit.
Mines completely worn out on the leather due to the previous owner and I want to upgrade.
As you will all know many universal gear knobs are screw fit... and so my question is whether or not there are any adapters or anything I need to do to make my car screw fit compatible perhaps or do I have a better option?

As far as the rest of the interior goes, I'm getting the front fascia down to the handbrake area, including the dashboard trims wrapped in a carbon fibre trim and that looks pretty sweet but the handbrake, in its current plastics, just looks so cheap and tacky! I'm not too familiar with handbrakes in my experience...Can the appearance of the handbrake be changed at all? What would I need to do?

Thanks in advance guys
