hi is there a free web site that i can check to see if my car has ever been stolen or damaged?

you can get a HPI check done. I got one done when I got my 182 last weekend.

Go on to the RAC website, they're only £5!!

It tells you everything aswel.

Hi you can get it by texting 83600 for £3, you get the vin, number of owners, colour/changes not stolen/scrapped and if its had a total loss claim against it. Does not tell you if it is a UK import though.

not too sure if you can get it for £3 by text, but it rings a bell.....might of read it on here?

Jus lookin at mine now. you get:

> Full vehicle description (make, model, engine, manufactured date, # of owners etc.)

> Vehicle ownership ( which includes - if car has, been recorded by police and insurance as stolen, any outstanding finance, security watch, insurance write off etc.)

> And also DVLA stuff (VIN number match, IMPORTED and EXPORTED and if car has been recorded as scrapped)

Not bad for a fiver!

That is good, but yes it is £3. Heard it on the radio the other week and I used it checking the car I get next week (can't wait ). Good for when your out looking. Has to be said though, I have not had this months phone bill bill yet.
