Hi I am a new member of cliosport. Ive joined bcos I am in the process of finding a mint 16v. So can anyone tell me what to look out for on the 16v. I know about rear arches and also the leaky sunroofs, but anythin else should ensure I find a mint one lol.

obvious things like wear to the seat bolsters, steering wheel and interior.

Make sure all the lines of the car line up (if you know what i mean) look down the sides of the car to make sure the cars not twisted or bent.

Look for signs of oil leaks or PAS fluid leaks

Turn the engine on, make sure the oil pressure rises straight away (should go to around 3 bar on a good en)

Check the oil level and water levels

Push down on the bonnet above the shocks and see what happens, should go down, up and settle shouldnt keep going.

Pull one of the HT leads out and check for oil

check for uneven tyre wear and lookout for really bad negative camber

Look out for rusty bootlids, rusty bonnets and boot on the insides
