what are good fast road cams for a phase 2 172 and is it possible to have the ecu remapped to adjust fueling and timing? and also what are the usual power gains when done with the usual exhaust and air filter?

Thee a few choice I'd talk to BenR about them he uses Catcams I belive.

Stock ECU can be remapped yep

Gains well you need the intake manifold modifying (ts not expensive) doing at the same time but should be about 195 with that as well

do u know how much a set of catcams are? well i could find that out, any ideas if anything else needs to be changed at the same time? like lifters etc
do u know who remaps the ecu's? dothey work well with uprated cams?

they will give you some idea on power packages on offer
