Cambelt tools

Anyone have a drawing of the tools? I want to get some made up for myself.

Then I'll need a very detailed guide on changing cambelt.:)

Indeed, il do anything but that.

I do believe we have a good record over at the coupe-club, everyone who has done it themselves it has snapped within a week lol

The french use some weird tension setting called seems (sp)

is it worth getting the tools made they arent that dear to buy and if your going to be using them a lot! snap on do them, you will be ok if you have done them before, (cambelts that is).

Hi can someone tell me what damage i may have done my cambelt broke while doing about 30mph in a 1.6rsi 16v any help would be appreciated thanks

yes its repairable! again depends where you get it done! several hundred pounds at a garage! time factor is a lot of it!

Ive not heard of many 16v cambelt failure repairs being under £800 tbh.

You have to bear in mind a cambelt change is £300 - £400 alone, then you need new valves, head may be damaged, skimming, new gaskets, new bolts

Cheaper to stick a new engine in mate, not joking either, unless you can do a head change yourself, cambelt etc etc
