Cam belt needed south east london/kent borders

Hi I am after a cambelt replacement as near to Bromley as poss. Am new to Clios and have been quoted £773 by Renault. Its for a53 plate 182 cup on 79500 miles.

There quote was for Set-timer sft drv £150
Core plug £7.57
Plug la £5.15
Belt £15.13
Labour £595

Know its a big job but is labour really that much????

It will be when done by Renault...

You can get the dephaser & oil etc changed for less than that bill at a local specialist.

2 techs are in Dartford, Ren7oaks in Kemsing or Mike Woodford in Staines.

Give two techs a call, they should be cheaper. (right near bluewater)

He's an RS specialist and will do as good (if not better job than Renault or two techs)

I expect the price will be more likely around £450, add another £130 odd if a dephaser is needed.
