Bulbs

What fitment are the 172/Cup full beam bulbs?

Im after some naughty bulbs for my full beam (So they wont effect anyone else on the road) anyone rate a certain make & model?

Cheers

Si

PIAA do a good range of stuff, some of which is supposed to draw the legal 60watts but pump out 150w or something completely daft!

Just be careful though as too much heat can melt things! (Have the current models got plastic light covers/lenses?)

PIAA Bulbs are great, the best in fact, but expensive- the crackers that look EXACTLY like xenons or even better believe it or not, are approx £60-79.99 a pair- Cups use H7 fitment for normal beam & H1 I think for full beam.

Best ones I found are Ring SportzBlue 80w. They are not road legal (neither are half of the PIAA range) but they are not ridiculously bright to other drivers. Very close to xenon on colour & intensity, & certainly not anythinglike the "all weather" blue numbers you see a lot of. They retail at £30 a pair, but if you want to PM me, Ill see if I can get you them cheaper via my bro- works in an A1 store. Mine were £12 approx.

The ring ones even at 80w, deffies wont hurt the light lenses- they are UV cut bulbs desgined for plastic lamps. Not sure about some of the PIAA ones, but check their site-www.piaa.co.uk
