Brake Change / Good price / correct info /

Lo guys, need to replace/upgrade front braking system so thinking of this package..
http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/store/p...182_172_cup_trophy_ferodo_ds2500_fr_brake_pck

Popped down to ATS (you may scoff at me :) ) in order to see how much it will cost to have fitted, was told that they dont do aftermarket stuff, however, the chap said he would do a out of hours job for £50, all's well so far i thought.

When i mentioned replacing the stock brake lines with the packaged braided lines he advised against it as bleeding the breakline to replace can be "a pain in the arse due to air bubbles" and wasnt worth doing unless im going to be doing track days. (which im not)

Can some one confirm whether or not this is the case and or should i find a another mechanic that will do the braided brake lines for me no questions asked?

Obviously the package comes with the braided brake lines so it would be silly not to use them.

cheers for you help guys.

IMO he does have a point. As people say the standard kit on the 1*2's is good anyway.

Personaly the stock setups fine for road use no trouble at all.

DS2500 for track work realy IMO.

£50 for the work though is nice earner for him its about 1 hours work for disk and pads. Say a 1.5 extra for the lines its worth doing the lines for a total job as stock arn't great but there way more than adequate.

Sounds like the guys biggest thing is not wanting to do them as there a bit of a pain bt since you should bleed the brakes realy anyway its worth doing as it not much more and there sort of in the package (you copuld buy the disk and pads sererate though if you wanted and save the £ for the lines).

You could DIY the job if you have th tools and save the money.
