Bloody CV joints

Onto my second one now in a year now, The pesky clip has come off again spewing grease all over my wheel

I had a look at it cleaned it up a bit and its not half as bad as last time so i suspect it went on Monday on a long journey i did as ive not used it since, Its now sat as Northeastern waiting for it repacking and a new clip.

Anyone got any ideas how to make them stay put? Ive never had the problem with any previous cars only the Renault :S
