Hi,
My 182 will shortly be due for it's 60,000 mile service. Whilst going through the service book this morning I started to remember a conversation with my then local renault garage about the aux belt and whether it needed changing at the 36,000 service. I telephoned Renault who confirmed it hadn't been changed as it was noted it was in good condition at both the 36k and 48k services.
Is this common - I'm alittle worried that it hasn't been done but have been told it is the Cam belt that would cause problems if that went and not the aux belt. I was also told that Aux belts don't often break down, if this is the case why do they recommend changing them at 36k?
I'm alittle confused as to what I should do at my next service.
I don't want to spend out cash if it's not needed (i need new brakes and tyres anyway so could do without having the aux belt changed!) Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Jean
