ashley exhaust??

is a ashley cat back 3" exhaust system gonna sound the bees knees on my 92' valver?.want a system thats gonna splutter and backfire like a *****!,but not sound crap and like all the mcdonald's wet farts.am i just better of goin to my local powerflow yard instead?.only thing is the ashley s nice and cheap at ]150 deliverd.opinions please guys as wanna sort it out before da weekend.

nice.was thinkin bout quiet as poss but then thought screw that,i want it to sound as raw as poss!wot kinda power gains am i likely to see?.next its gonna get chipped.superchips any good?,very,very local to me.

the main dealer/manufacturer is round the corner from me (walsall) think it quoted 5-12bhp on the exhaust .

:lolup: you not going to get that mate , i had the back box and it was very loud , they can design to taste but there are others on the market too , shop around .

i had an ashley competition exhaust...they are cheap and the build quality shows it...get a stainless one if your going to get one....i had a cat back system and it isnt as loud as the one i have on my RSi....the diameter is the same as standard exhaust and the silencers are reduced(not by much)....it does pop if you know the point on the pedal to make it do it....you will learn that...my advise though....its loud untill you get a decent system...it is a nice sound though

would you say im betta of with a custom powerflow then.local depos 10miles from me.got ]300 to play with just wnt to save as many pennys as poss.

u bet i am.got a mint interior.just turned 80000 and got the all is OK from renault other week.bought it couple moths ago for 1100.100% original apart from turbines that are a dodgy gold(refurbed to original soon),got full stamps in book,sale receipt.needs some rust doin soon but gonna hold out for a respray in the same white tio get it lovly again.

i'd advise powerflow....get a side exit you wont regret it...will set you back roughly £280 though but will last forever...

sold.think ill pop down to powerflow tomorrow.nearly bid on a side exit other week but the bugger ended while i was out!.liken your moter mate,wots it runnin at?

are we refering to 1/4mile times here? if so then a little over 16 seconds(its an RSi) however it narrowly lost to a valver with roughly the same mods on the 1/4 miles...according the one of the earlyer owners who is also on here...iirc
