anyone know anyone one who can map DTA ecus?

  Megane r26
Basically a pal of mine is in a bit of bother with his mg an is running dta management. He's just rebuilt the motor again with bigger spec an fitted his dta management. He ideally wants a base map loaded on the cars ecu so he can run it safely an bascically bleed engines an makes its all ok before it goes on rollers for it final setup. He is runing a 2.1 tomcat engine fully uprated internals, 750cc injectors, wasted spark, one massive turbo. any help would be very much appriciated

Being such a rare setup, He'll have to find a map from a lesser spec, then scale it for his injectors and make sure he doesent come on boost.

Alternatively, the best Idea is just going to be a trailer. He can bleed through everything at a rough idle, which shouldn't be too hard to obtain.

at the minute it dont idle it'll start but thats with his foot to the floor. He just wants a safe base map loading onto the car jus to get a few miles under its belt off boost just to iron out any teething problems (i.e oil leaks, coolant leaks)

There is no such thing as a safe base map and anything that goes on it won't be validated. The best that we or anyone else can do without having the car/engine in the chassis/engine cell is going to be a guess. Does he have a wideband on the car that can be used to implement a closed loop fuel strat? If so then ping off the wastegate actuator, set a 4000RPM limit, define the target lambda table as 1L upto 20% TP/3500RPM and 0.85L everywhere else, stick 10 degrees of spark in the map for anything idle/low speed and smoothly rise to 20 at 4000RPM with speed/load then trim idle fuel so it fires cleanly and idle. Chuck some sensible IPW in the fuel map so it's not pulling more than 10% correction and go from there. Alternatively we're taking bookings for September at the moment ;)

Matt, I love it when you talk dirty.
