hi guys i went from a silenced decat to a straight through decat and the noise level has gone down, ive had the new decat in for a day now, will this eventually get louder(i hope not!) just in the same way exhaust do???

Possibly not. The extra noise on the silenced item could have actually been the resonance around the silencer.
