Accelerator Pedal Interchangeable?

As the thread title really.

A lad at work has issues with his accelerator pedal and to check it is I was thinking of fitting the pedal out of my 182 to check it definitely is the issue.

Austin Metro. Will not work.

The throttle pedals are fly by wire on the 1.2. 182s are cable throttle.
