206gti Engine Mounts

  C250 AMG & 172 Cup
Right, ive posted this on gtiowners for a mate, however they are about as useful as a snooze button on a smoke alarm!!!

So, i know theres some pretty good mechanical type people on here.

He's bought a grp N Bottom engine moutn (the gearbox one). We took a quick look at it last night and it seems as though the rubber mounting is going to be needed to pushed out, and the casing seems to be around the driveshaft??? Now as were not exactly F1 Pit Lane guys we didnt wanna start messing with drive shafts etc....

Anyone have any ideas, or know anyone who can help??

Cheers!

if its anything like a saxo/106 you shouldnt have to touch the drive shafts.

the existing mount should unbolt, then you cut the old rubber one out and press (or big hammer) the new one in.
