182 k-tec Air Filter

Hi guys/gals...

My 182 has gone in for a 12k service today.
Noticed that part of the service is to change air filter...
Been on the k-tec site, and they do their own filter for the 172/182, which fits in the standard box. Dont want to "mod" the car too much for warranty/insurance.

Worth the 30 squid, or should I stick to standard (i am hoping to achieve a lil more MPG, and a lil more puch at motorway cruising speed).

any panel filter wont do a great deal, but the best is the ITG one.

On another note, 12k in a 182 already??

Yup, the ITG is the one to get, but as Jon says, dont expect huge gains...

K-Tec might not sell them, so get one from somewhere else.

Just the direct replacement panel filter.

Ok guys... went fot the Piper X filter in the end...

The only difference Ive found, is that that the backing mesh on ITG is metal, and the backing mesh on Piper X is plastic.

ITG costs about 11 squid more with delivery vat etc... so went for a slightly cheaper option!

I had a Piper X before the ITG and it fell to bits on me, the rubber edge rotted and fell away. Hence why I went for the ITG next.

lol, hence we all said ITG from the start, coz we knew the PiperX was cheaper for a reason and that we all recommended the ITG!
