182 Cup Racer bolt on filter?

As seen in the picture below anyone know what filter this actually is? I assume its a K&N judging by the colour of it but any other info would be helpful.

probably the K&N, palmersport were the only ones who had "182" style cup racers, and they were the only ones who ran those "gangster" air filters

Ye I have seen the same setup on a palmersport car.

I think originally that would have had a long pipe with the filter sat inside the blocked off area forward of the turret

Yeah I thought that, I think they used to have a green filter sat down there.

What is the original cup filter setup? I know everyone says its the V6 box but im yet to see one fitted, I always thought it was a long piece of silicon behind the headlight with a green filter on the end?

its a rubber hose (both ends cut on an angle), 2 jubilee clips, and a V6 box hooked upto the headlight blank
