182 cup kerb weight with recaros

  Renault Laguna Coupe

does 182 Cup have airbags in the standard seat?

On a V6 my Cobras saved 40kg in total - but the standard seats are really heavy with all that leather and airbags (standard 182 seats are identical). A standard V6 / 182 seat weighs 33kg!

I would guess it does, my cobras were a saving of 10kg over std per seat, and i didnt even ahve airbags in mine

No 182 cups dont have side bags

However the recaros dont look very light. 5-10kg per seat saving i reckon.

I would guess a 182Cup with recaros might be about 40kg lighter than a full fat without them, so what Tom said basically.

so what your saying is 182cup seats no airbag = say 30kgs or whatever and the recaros are 23kgs each hence saving 18-20kgs in total or standard cup seats.

worth it i recon.

just need = 8kg lighter exhaust, 7kg wheels x4 28kgs compared with 11-12kg standard = 16-20kg saved

kerb weight minimun 1028 maximum 1020kgs.

lets say 1030 for good measure.

faster than 172 cup then.

A 182Cup is already bang on 172Cup pace...on paper at least, and from all figures Ive seen. So yep, make it lighter and its gonna be quicker. Though Im sure someone will be along to proclaim that all RS Clios are equal pace from 172 through to 182Cup.

Im sure its easy to ditch 91kg.

the seats you removed weigh 66kg the rears weigh about 15-20kg

Plus other bits of trim, lighter wheels dash removal...

Hmmm, i guess....would never go as far as removing AC/Xenons but the dash?! lol. Can you get like a mini dash or something so it wouldnt look really crap?

Think once ive changed the wheels, fitted CF bonnet and changed the seats to CF framed ones ill take to a weigh bridge. Would be real cool to get a definate 200bhp/ton pwr to weight!
