182 CUP Insurance

hi,

those of you that have 182 CUP insurance, on your details, does it list the car as just a ren clio 2.0l 182, or does it say CUP on there??

why does it matter what it says on there insurance ,unless they have exactly the same comapny as you then you wont be able to compare, as different companies will write it down differently, im guessing you think your insurance has your car down as a normal 182, if you think so then contact them as the 182 cup is down as a differnt variant to the normal 182

Just insured mine ready for Tuesday, and when I said Renault Clio 182 they asked wether it was the normal one or the cup, so insurance companies are aware off whats out there.

fmp certain insurances companys change there price elephant charged me 1700 for my 172 cup i wrote it off and they now insure me on a standard 182 for 1200 so look out strange dont u think ?????

I ran some quotes for a 182 in 2 years and i got some really good quotes. The cheapest was direct line i think with £1125 for just me, then £950 for me with my girlfriend (marital status under co-habiting to make it cheaper) and my dad.

Thats 21 with 3 years no-claims and pass plus.

cheers for info guys, i went with churchill in the end, and just rang then to change it to a 182 cup, rather than normal 182. cost me £740 for the year, thats 24, 4 years ncb, protected NCB and legal assist.

tho it was very strange, as i hav a C2 insured with them, which i payed £330 at end of january, so i called them to change car to clio, and they wanted to charge me an EXTRA £680!!!! so i cancelled it, and took out a new policy with them!!

anyways, all sorted now, roll on tuesday lunchtime when i collect the car!!!

Dropped my cover note in the dealer and just had a peak at my 182, really cant wait.

Best quote i could get was £435 F/C on my 182, 8 yrs NCB, 26 yrs old.
