hey guys just got my 182 and i think it needs new discs. they look like crap and i'm sure the discs on my old 1.2 were stopping me better. Anyone got suggestions for new brakes and what sort of price range i will be looking at including fitting. Will putting non renault discs on affect my insurance? cheers guys

OK gonna go for the Brembo High Carbon HC 280mm Discs for the front. What about the back. They the same size? sorry about the ignorance had a 1.2 before so used to the good old drums
238mm at the rear.
Stock are fine at the back and expensive as they have pressed in bearings so don't chnage unless you need to.

The front discs and pads need doing on mine and since I am getting some goodridge hoses off the groupbuy and the rears have been on since new is it worth swapping these as well there about 50% worn according to Reno.
Just thinking its better to get it all sorted at once then muck around with it at a later date. The only thing is the handbrake and everything is fine. So unsure to be honest.
What would people advise. The fronts are definately getting done either way.
and what fluid is recommended? DOT 4 or 5.1?

Yozzasport are about the cheapest. Plus there rear disk come with th new bearing pushed in which is handy.
Bleeding the brakes is the biggest difference.

will agree with edde about bleeding the brakes. am just about to change my front pads and discs when i get my car back and going for ferrodo ds2500's with probably high carbon brembo discs / brembo max and then some braided lines with the castrol fluid. as it did the job nicely in the last car.

No problem though.
Same as the non RS. Been meaning to do mine for some time. I'll try d it before the new year.edde... a guide to bleeding the brakes all round on an RS would be ace!

An hour and a half to do pads at worst if there none Renault ones (ie they don't fit).
Lines say an extra 20 minutes then half and hour to bleed.

with tempted with the green stuff, but thought what the hell so tempted to go with the ds2500's as the car wont be getting used to go to work etc.
Nice one fubar. Will give it a shot this weekend. Guessing its a similar story for the front. My girlfriends brother is an apprentice at renault so might get him to help, then he can train every1 at renault to to it properly

Middo DS2500 are fine for a daily driver they just squeek a bit.
