Hi all,
having some issues with the after market exhaust fitted to my 172. Its a 51 plate and the last owner put a straight through system on the car. The pipes in the mid section dont quite have enough overlap and at times they come apart, roughly under the handbrake leaver area.
Im looking for suggestions for replacement,
A) where is the cat meant to be? i.e. (straight after the down pipe from manifold? or nearer the middle?) and
B) would a cat-back system likely do the job or would a cat have to be thrown on as well to solve the issue?
also the boot seems to be stuck shut is this a common issue and if so any advice would be good. it always seems locked when you push the button in the badge?
