172 Banging Exhaust

  Ph1 V6
My Ph-quick 172 has a Powerflow exhaust and it has been banging on the rear torsion bar. 5 know this is a common problem and had it with my Valver and Corsa Sport before that. I took it to a generic exhaust place and got the guy to lift it and put a new U bbracket on it for me but it still bangs a bit. When I saw it up on the ramps I realised there is fook all space between the rear torsion bar and the chasis for the exhaust anyway. He pushed it as high as he could but it was not that close to the chasis. Dunno if its because its a Powerflow job and the shape is not perfect for fitting it over the tosrion bar.

I wanted to lower it -40mm on Apex springs this week and am a bit worried that will leave next to no space for the exhaust and I will get constant banging.

Anyone else had a similar problemo or got any suggestions?

Cheers peeps.

Haha- that was I was fearing mate. Had the Powerflow on it when I got it. Only had her a couple of weeks. Would never be my first choice of exhaust although it looks quite tidy and the backbox fits well and sturdy compared too your run of the mill PooFlows.
