172 - 182?

Just had a mate who has asked me how Renault got the extra 10 bhp to take it to a 182? I am not too technically minded, but he is so answers on a postcard please! Cheers in advance.

Exhaust mate, 172 is 4 - 2 - 1 and 182 is 4 - 1 (i think) and an ecu map!

Other way around. 172 is 4-1, 182 is 4-2-1, think the cat on a 182 is lower density and as said above the map is different.

aparently the 182 had a revised inlet manifold so ive read, apart from that, the 182 has a 4-2-1 manifold and a lower density cat
