1.4 16v low idle when start up

Noticed sometimes when i start up my clio the rev counter drops to literally zero and the car sort of chokes a little before the idle goes up. It doesnt stall but sounds like its going to. Anyone else have this problem and how do i sort it?

ive GOT this problem and i duno wot it is but dosent reaslly bother me as it doesnt stall... if it ever stalled then id have ti checked just think of it as saving petrol

Check the TDC sensor I'd bet its broken.

£25 for a new one and £25 for the new loom.

Do a search for a picture
Dead easy to change

Check your one though anyway. You need a multi meter. Its a common prblems so that most of the time the issue.
