1.2 DIET engine vs 1.1 Pug 106 engine

Was just wondering what the difference is between the engines (mainly torque and bhp wise) as my car pulls away much quicker than my mates 1.1 Pug (believe theyre both 60bhp) and my mate is wondering why mines much quicker on the acceleration. Both engines standard apart from mine having a k&n replacement filter and a cold air feed pipe, running on Tesco 99ron if it makes a difference lol anyone got any ideas on the specs of each standard engine out of intrest??

prob the gear box, i have a 1.18v courtsy car at the mo and its sooooo slow! lol 1.2 8v is quite toque-e
