£500.....suggestions

hi, got a 1.6 16v mk2 facelift, engines pretty much standard, got a full system scorpion exhaust thats it enginewise, got about £500 to spend at the moment on it, anyone have any suggestions as to the best mods i shld get to improve power?

de-cat pipe (which according to TimO172 is just a straight through pipe with relocated Lambda sensor) - £ = next to nothing

pipercross viper (alleged more power than normal induction kit) - £250

improve brakes and suspension with the remaining money, these will help improve the performance vastly, without touching the engine

what difference would the induction kit make? also, ive had it lowered in pi springs 35mm, what brakes you reckon?

about 8bhp is claimed from the viper
