sod that, the guy cant drive.
any rear drive/mid engined car thats short will obviously be twitchy, i can actually hodl my car in a drift for a few seconds now, and it jsut gildes back into position.
you just gotta get to know how it handles.
ooh a v6 jumble sale, id love to hear what goodies he has. id buy some spare parts just to carress them at night in my living room. :D
ooh i just remembered i need the plastic boot thing. where can i get hold of this guy?
gearbox oil again?
mine did this 3 times. i dont think renault mechanics actually know to how to seat the gaiters.
after the 4th attempt they got it right!
stu - april is too risky for rain, so i dont want to go then.
personally, im happy to wait till july, so the weather is fine, but ill also go with the majority.
im up for this. is croft a circuit or an airfield?
ive not heard of it before, i dont want to run on an airfield, gotta be a proper track.
stu - if we are short, i have loads of people up for a track day, if we dont mind a non-renault just to get the numbers up.
my mk1 has this feature.
the gauge is on the bottom of the fat red line, and the computer shows 60 ish miles. ive only pushed it once cos i couldnt find a station, and the computer went down to 9 miles!
the light was on obviously, but i was impressed.
do the Vees have a fuel filter or is...
i have no weird smells, except the smell of heat.
opening the windows makes the cabin hotter, the heat rises to escape covering you in a sudden heat wave.
ive run with just the black covering too, and that is alot quieter, you can hear the radio too, also keep the heat at bay.
all my covering is off right now- in the 9 months that i have owned my v6 the cover has been off for 3. the sound is deafening but i love it - it really is race car feel.
only down side is the heat in traffic, the AC has to be switched on.
off topic - but why the hell is the front bumper on the mk1 priced at £850, and the mk2 one so cheap?
soooo if a mk1 had a front end then we might aswell all pay the extra and fit the mk2 front end?!
mitch - i bet you feel gutted mate, sorry to hear the bad news.
everyone wants their car to be worth more, its normal.
id like to think my 51 reg V6 with bugger all mileage is worth £15k, but in all honesty it isnt.
so therefore, id not bother selling it, unless i was offered 15k.
who knows what will happen.
id like to think it will go the same way as the escort cossie, in that prices will hold at a certain value, atleast for a while.
never mind that, if you want one get one, whatever model you go for you WILL love it more than any other car youve owned, amazing cars!
go get it mate, it sounds like your impressed already.
mine has none of the wear you mention inside, so perhaps a one off?
the gearbox clunkiness is the notchy sound as you change gear, its a really tight gearbox, no slack at all on the gear lever - i like that.
also my brakes work...
i agree with that too.
however, there is no way on this earth that the insurance company are going to pay the £195 if it gets nicked, they will tell you where to go.
why do main dealers insist on ripping us off. i paid £165 for my first service, and it was only and oil and filter change.
i did it for the stamp and warranty, and then found out that they ised the wrong oil so had to do an oil change myself.
sod that sub-standard handling.
people with small balls think they dont handle.
my pal in leeds has a pulsar GTiR and we were racing round on sunday through the yorkshire lanes, ( but we were not road racing and did not go over any speed limits ) he could not get me off his tail, except...
