no washer jets working after gearbox change

Checked all fuses none are blown. I thought I might have disturbed something when fitting the gearbox. Where does the harness connect to the other side to both pumps?

Gears in wrong position on gear stick

Yes lined it up with the witness mark at first but adjusted slightly. All gears are fine and smooth just in the wrong place. Wonder if its possible to turn the linkage rod at the same witness mark to get 1st forward and left instead of 1st forward as now. I'll have a look Tom. Thanks

Gears in wrong position on gear stick

OK thanks for the replies. I'll give the neutral a go. Hopefully adjusting slightly will make a difference. Out of interest is 1st gear in the clio straight forward or more left slightly and forward. I been driving a fiesta mk6 st so maybe the box just feels different.

Gears in wrong position on gear stick

Just finished fitting a gearbox. The gearstick movement is fine but 1st gear gearbox is 3rd gear position on the stick. On setup for the linkage I put the gearstick in reverse and then put the gearbox in reverse then tightened everything up. I'm sure that the position forward and backwards is...

Thanks for that mate. I have cleaned up the bearings and pieces of gears remaining from my previous box and put a rubber glove over it. Is there a reason it's not a spline?

three bearings on end of n\s driveshaft

The bit that fits inside the gearbox. Do I need to grease it? Or is it lubricated by the gearbox oil. 😊 Thanks

order of re-assembly for replacing steering rack and subframe

I replaced the gearbox in my car and currently have the sub frame removed. The steering rack has been disconnect from the steering column with the pinch bolt and is suspended underneath the car on strong cable ties. Which would be the easiest/correct way to re-assemble them back together? i.e...

    Nearside cv joint grease type.

I have just replaced the gearbox and I am re-assembling the nearside driveshaft which includes the CV joint. As the CV joint is in the wet side of the gearbox will it still require grease? If so will this be ok...

    infinity tyres

:D I see you've got an impreza, I used to have a blob sti but had to get rid of it due to high mileage to work 3 years ago. I did get a bit addicted to the extra power though and the JGM tuned it upto 350bhp with mods:eek:. Miss the car but not the cost of fuel. ;) I was considering a hatch type...

    infinity tyres

Sorry about the early morning eye test and lack of paragraphs. :o I totally agree about the cheap tyres but we are talking about the Michelins in the wet being equal/better to the infinity's in dry conditions. They really are, that bad. Poor traction, loose/vague steering and vibration on nearly...

    infinity tyres

Sorry for the long post. I’ve had my car for 3 weeks now and I really like it. In getting more used to it I thought there was something not quite right with the steering and handling. The best way to describe it is a bit unsettled on bends and vibration through the steering wheel at above 4,000...
