I've just had both drive shafts replaced as the CV joints where knackered but... my 182 still feels "off" when steering. I already know my drivers side top mount bearing needs replaced but when I accelerate hard it pulls to the right, and on braking hard it pulls to the left. I've read that this...
Sounds like a stupid question as most people are going to say "renault"
but I ordered some racing blue (j45) touch up paint from Renault then got a phone call back a week later saying they don't make that colour paint anymore! Went into my local halfords and I can't find that paint either - so...
Just an update for anybody wondering, got the steering angle sensor coded so everything is fine now. Rattle noise was investigated and apparently it was just was a loose clip causing some vibration.
All fixed now :)
Just jumped in my car to go to the shop and my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. All STOP and Battery light are on when stopped in nuetral, and all my electrics work. When I accelerate all my lights, radio, clock, wipers etc stop working aswell as all of the lights on the dash lighting...
Update; I've had the ball joints replaced. Improved the handling alot.
Downsides, I can now hear a chain like rattling sound every so often, from down near my footwell as my Clio is currently missing the rubber seal around the steering column.
Anybody know if this is a normal noise, or what it...
I bought my tyres online from Camskill. A place called CLCM which was recommended by the guys at Rentec to fit the tyres and do the tracking - wish i had never gone there now. They seem to do alot of high end cars which I seen when I was there but they marked my alloys pretty badly so I had to...
Update, garage have check everything over and they have confirmed the play is 100% the ball joints so getting them done tomorrow aswell as my steering angle sensor and tracking
What do you mean by Quickfits? The car is with a renault specialist in Edinburgh (rentec) and they are very reliable from past experience.
On a flat road the car goes straight with my steering wheel slightly off (lower on the left hand side) without and input from myself. If i align me steering...
I've just had a new set of tyres fitted, and the tracking done, but my car is pulling to the right when the steering wheel is lined up straight.
Tracking has been doubled checked, but still the same issue. I have previously been told that my ball joints are worn, and my CV boots need replaced...
A little update, got my belts and pulley done a few weeks back and getting new tyres on monday :) quick question, I want to paint my inlet manifold and fuel rail cover - how easy is it to take off?
Alright no worries, its missing on mine and as far as I can tell its a pain in the ass to get a new on on there, causes louder road/engine noise, and also if its wet could cause water to come in I suppose. The photo I took was from a car breakers as I was getting a few common bits from a 01 Clio...
Thanks for that Dan, I've got a stainless steel angle bracket I'm going to spray black and bolt on there to tidy it up. Also needs a good clean as there is all this white dust everywhere.
The body work looks good in the photo, but in the past somebody has keyed both sides of the car, and its...
Hello, I've been a member on here for a while now, and I've finally got myself a 182, so thought I would post a progress thread.
I've only had the car since Wednesday, and to be honest, the car needs a reasonably amount of work to get it up to to standard as it has been neglected a little by...
