Go for a CTR mate, lets keep the 182 as rare as possible!! I can understand why you want rid of the VTS, they are fast taking over from Novas as the Chav motor of choice!!

I get £350 per month car allowance and that pretty much covers the finance and insurance (I am 29 with 5 years NC) on my 182. I do about 350 miles per week mainly on the motorway and its fine. The cruise control is very handy for the motorway as well.

The comments made by CocoPops regaurding the Stooping by non cupped 182 owners is a bit harsh!!, just because i didnt go for the cup sus does not mean i dont look after my car!! As for the whole second hand debate, you could say that second hand 182s with cupped sus would be in a worse...

I have had the same problem as pkimber with the cruise control. It is indeed a bit of a strange one. Now done 10899 miles and so far so good. Nearly time for the first service!!!

Not that often, its only happened twice.

Mine seems to do the 3 beep thing if the alarm has gone off (Say in the middle of the night) and i go back to the car in the morning and unlock it.

Done 8000 miles. Good: Level of standard kit, pretty quick. Bad: Torque steer, Crap dealers, Poor audio, Chavs wanting to race you in their Novas......... All in all pretty pleased with it. Build quality is not great but you cant expect mircles for the price you pay for one.

Most of my driving is motorway stuff and i am getting about 36 mpg. Pretty happy with that.

Done just over 7000 miles in mine and the fuel consumption for mainly motorway miles is around 37 mpg.

Turn the stereo up and hey presto!!! no more rattles!!

My old 318is used to rattle but i have been in a new 318is and it was super quiet..........maybe a Bentley would be rattle free........... Just chill and enjoy your motor for what it is!! (A rattling little pocket rocket)

If you wanted a car that is super quiet with no rattles or strange noises you should have bought a BMW!!! I bought a 182 cause i wanted a car that was fast and cheap, you cant really expect super good build quailty for the price you pay for one!! Anyway the best cure for a strange noise is...

I didnt go for the sus pac cause i didnt like the colour of the alloys. IMO my silver 182 looks better with the non sus pac alloys...........

My 182 has been sweet and its already got 4700 miles under its little belt. Cmon people!! for the performace you get its cheap as chips!!

I agree the Renault dealers are mostly piles of steaming brown stuff, but i have done 4700 miles in my 182 already and its been sweet as a nut. Maybe i was lucky with mine and they actually put it together right, but then there is still plenty of time for something to fall off / blow up...

How i ran in my 182: Picked it up from dealer, kicked its ass. Simple as.

Yea, currently doing a 100 mile per day commute during the week!!! I think its safe to say my 182 is run in now!!!

Done 3500 miles and been up to 125mph. No mods and it felt ok.
