might aswell just buy a meggy cup, costs less, holds value the same, looks better (IMO), is more roomy, has more kit, has a turbo which is very tunable and handles brilliantly, only downside is the MPG which is realistically mid/high 20's.
I suppose it proves Renault's mechanics are in good order though if the engine can cover 100,000 miles +
And even if it's in poor condition, surely at £1,000 it's a steal. £500 to do it up, give it a very good wash/wax and a service and remove that shít ass superchip and get a proper ECU...
The RR printout from Jabba showing the power output after a remap.

Notice the 438nm of torque :D
You missed a few things yes :D, it does 50 mpg, has 5 doors, VAG build quality and basically it is a VAG (same engine/gearbox, drivetrain, suspension, I could go on as the Polo/Ibiza....), cheap to insure and run, is a warm hatch and can easily be remapped to 195 bhp and in a straight line it...

not quite got the kudos that the a renault sport has.
Fatt Spack - How's your sister after last night? I had to break her in because she said the power to weight ratio of your díck was too small to measure (literally).
Do you think your car is a penis enlargement?
Save some money, get some friends and stop trying to loose 1 second on a 1/4...
If I were going for outright handling and power & looks I suppose then I would go for the Ibiza Cupra PD160 as it is very economical and quick, and is very tuneable.
It has a larger VNT17 turbo, and a Front Mounted Intercooler (huge) which is very important for remapped TDI's and Turbo...
I am 21, 1 years NCB and 1 accident within the last 3 years and an SP30 (speeding).
When the car was standard, only Admiral would insure me at a reasonable price of £1050. Now it's modified, I have been in touch with GreenLight. All mods declared (springs, dampers, brakes, strut braces, I...
JabbaSport maps them to 220 BHP, they have the larger KO4 turbo from the TT 225 and LCR 210/225, not the KO3 from Octavia vRS etc, couple that with a good FMIC and they are very quick.
That's why I bought my VAG Skoda Fabia vRS, 130 bhp TDI. Ibiza Cupra Intake, Green Panel Filter and...
Getting a 172 turbo'd?
Cost between 6-8k for 260 bhp? sounds awesome can't deny it but surely with the average cost of even a 2nd hand 172 coming in at 5-6k that costs around 13k without the suspension or the brakes that will be needed.
Is it purely for the enthusiast or did BB and K-Tec...
Matt, why don't you get the new GT30RS from JBS in Chesterfield. Costs about 4k including all the internals (most of which you will already have) but is good for 550 bhp :D
What is your problem? Do you need a w@nk or something. I don't think you've said one constructive thing since joining this forum.
I have a great idea you lemming brained individual. Why don't you read someone's post, add something remotely useful to a conversation and stop pi$$ing everyone...
Oh, you'll love the reaction on people's faces when they get overtaken by a Skoda.
One last point aswell, i'm glad that people still seem to have this gay hangup of the badge, it means less vRS's on the road and more individuality which without having too much of a dig is more than I can say...
That video of my car is pretty damn slow compared to now.
I agree it won't keep up with a 255 V6 but it will stay comfortably with a Clio 172/182.
Meggerman's 172 cup does pull about 2 lenghts to a ton on me from a standing start but I think he'd agree that from 20-30+ there is nothing in...
I agree with the two different cars jobbie, but bear in mind I get 90% of the overall performance of a acclaimed "hot hatch" such as a 172/182 and I dont see why my car is not comparable. I do agree in a standard format it isnt, however once remapped (JabbaSport custom remap £380 on a group buy)...
Yes, mine on the last RR day was running at 195 bhp and 323 lb/ft of torque, 0-60 as a guestimate is at 6.5

The day I got it remapped on a poor winters day, took first gear easy due to...
I drive a Skoda Fabia vRS, I think its a great car, an excellent car that fits the bill perfectly, but when someone makes a remark which is blatently WRONG it really pulls my cheesy nutts.
What im referring to is this...
yea guess so, ive sold the mondy btw. but ive been a passneger in a 225 and it was very quick, faster than a 172 once on the trot. autocar timed the 225 in 6.1 secs thats where i got that one from but it makes sense.. a wrx 225 with its 4wd does 5.7-5.8 to 60 and it weighs about 50kg- 70kgs...
ok then, lets do that. V6 timed to 60 runs for example are 5.8 best. 225s timed to 60 runs 6.1 at best that a paltry .03 secs difference. spend a few hundred £££ and see 260bhp. 0-60 and 0-100 reduced quite a lot. v6 is heavy as fook for the size of it.
btw i like the v6, just puttin some spin...
My Fabia vRS is getting remapped by JabbaSport on 14th Jan 05, apparently they just got 197 bhp from a remap on a Fabia (with a green panel filter), so itll be interesting to see what mine is with the PD Cupra 160 Intake aswell as a green panel filter, however it is much slower than my brothers...
