    Just a follow-up. It was the water pump and even with a Haynes manual it was beyond me, so I took it to my local garage who fitted new pump, cambelt and aux belts, new bit of hose, anti-freeze for £290.

    Just had to change this - what a b****er of a job! Two of the bolts sheared off and on the other one, the captive nut broke loose.Managed to cut off the loose one with my Dremel, then I drilled the mounting point( which is probably only about 2mm thick) and fixed the exhaust bracket with 3 self...
