Just spoke to Neil at greenlight insurance with regards a quote for my son ,and been quoted £1050 with all the mods. A big thanks for such an amazing quote, my sons well chuffed.
My son today got a quote from sky insurance for £4600 on his clio 172 , he's 23 no accidents no convictions held his full licence for 6 yrs and this is the price that was quoted, what a joke.
I'm new to cs and new to clios in general and don't know what wheels are what, so I find these threads interesting. If you're so bored with the same old questions don't read. All people do when they talk like that is put people off joining.

People used to say that back in the 80s ,now look at all the desirable cars people wished they had still got.
There is no way on earth that a 22yr old with a clio 200 is only paying 380 for insurance. I'm 42 with a clean licence ,no accidents and 6 yrs ncb in a decent postcode on a clio 172 and I pay £360.
Either you lot at 18-19 with low quotes are lying or you have got excesses of 2000 with loads of oaps on as named drivers or aren't telling the insurance the truth. My son is 24 and his cheapest quote was 3000 on a 172 in a good area and it didn't make a difference with me on it at 42.
Has anyone bought and used barum bravuris 2 tyres. I have just had 2 fitted and find they have quite good grip in the dry and wet. Just wondering what everyone else thinks.
I've just had 2 barum bravuris 2 tyres fitted that were cheap from tyre shopper ,and have read some good reviews. Have any of you guys bought or tried these?
