You got that right lol. My xerus had a cart load of filler on it when it had its sill repaired, or should I say bodged lol. I see if I can find the thread.
I was the same with my Naples valver lol, thought new sills and a few other patches would do it, turned out it had a full quarter at some point which wasn't done very well, the floor near enough fell out once the sill was off!
And I'm not sure on the better options mate, just read somewhere on...
Haha true, yeah I emailed them about the welder and they answered all my questions etc. Can't wait to get all the rot out of mine, although to my surprise it's actually pretty solid bar the usual arches and sills and the rest is down to cap previous repairs. Which hubs you putting on mate? I was...
Nice to see someone else taking pride in a valver! I've got 2 to do and all I keep getting is why don't you get rid. That's some brilliant welding work there btw, Better than most "reputable body shops"
Off topic but is the welder any good? I was looking at getting one of these but never really...
due a bit of an update i think! i now have a mig welder so the good stuff can start soon!
its an old school murex tradesmig 160 made in 1986, bought it not working and fixed it, its now working and welding beautifully. me and my girlfriend are relocating soon and i will be renting a garage/unit...
Not updated in a while as I've not really been home and I've been putting off the project till I get a welder etc...
Anyhow I was getting frustrated with looking at it just sat there so found myself something to do :-)
All I've really done is some bondo work. Filled in the holes that held the...
Not much to update on the clio really as been helping a mate with his civic project :-)
All I've really don't is ordered this to go with the phase 1 goodies
But as you can probably tell it's smaller than it should be which confused me as it's got a genuine Renault part number on it so I'm...
Update time but it's only brief...
Have now laid a deposit on a new shell for beloved TOA.
Sadly they're the only photos I've got but I'll upload more when it's in my garage :)
She's coming along well mate but it's slowed down a bit till I can buy a welder etc. Make sure you have it done right buddy, this one was a right mess :(

Got the final bit of short shifter kit ready to be fitted when I get a 172 box, going to fit lsd too B-)
I'm also toying with the idea of painting this already gave it 2 wet coats, but now I'm thinking what would...
I'm starting to save up for my tools now but hopefully shouldn't be too long before I can start welding new metal in :) 432 looks lovely when fairly fresh pained or even just looked after and waxed etc.
Once I've got all the underseal off I'm pretty sure there's gonna be f*ck loads of rust as...
Small update.
Rear beam is now fully fitted. Need to bleed the brakes and then it can be moved into the garage to start tackling the other stuff to be done. Crappie update but it's part of this cars story so thought I'd share :)
Thanks mate :)
Thanks mate. It was a nice car when my mate had it before he had an argument with a signpost lol. She's coming along well now. Is that KingBass's Clio?
She is still fairly solid and clean in places lol. But somebody bodged the sill aND chassis rails are slightly rotten. Nothing...
Rear beam is a little closer to been properly fitted
Dropped off the jack twice too, not had much luck today, lining the rear beam up was an utter ballache. Still got to conext the brake lines up and handbrake cables. I cleaned up the rear beam mounting nuts and bolts as they looked like this...
Today's antics!
rear beam removed from Naples shell, one of the bolts ceased half way, would tighten or loosen no more so out came the drill, with a homemade grinder attachment  was daringly close to the fuel tank but no fire wad caused so it all good and the rear beam is now...
Overdue update!
Not really had a lot of spare time and the weather has been naff, and I've had no phone to take pics from but got one now so here's some bits of what I've done...
So I thought after I'd removed the rear beam I'd take a look around to see what rust or rot there is...
Flol. It was just before Christmas so it was a bit slippery and the car has a bold tyre so I think that could be part of the reason, the back end stepped out on him and he over corrected sending him onto a grass verge but taking a signpost with him lol. I'll try get a few photos of the actual...
Bit of progress! Got the new dash installed.
Not one to blow my own trumpet but I think it looks mintosa :winkey:
Here's the centre console
Even put some new pedal covers on. Genuine renault ones too that I bought a couple of year ago
it's all in the details lol.

Bit of an update here too. Not much though I'm afraid. Engine had been painted in various places without the parts even been removed, looked like this
.Took the rocker cover off and brought it in to polish, it's looking pretty good at the minute and I'm still in the first stage
. Going to...
Bit of an update, sadly more words than pictures.
I've sorted the electrics out! Central locking works and the key unlocks it, thus disarming the immobiliser :) I'm now using my chipped ecu, pops and bangs ;) fitted the magnex exhaust system, replaced the pas fluid bottle (old one was cracked...
F-ing love WUK. was sad to see on the Facebook valver group she may be up for sale soon :( couldn't imagine putting in all that effort and cash etc then selling it on. Must be gutting for you
Small update...
The past few days the car has been fully stripped (dash, carpet and underlay etc) I have installed the new dash along with the inside loom. She's looking like thus
Also fitted the b&m sorry for poor photos. I have to use the front camera on my phone, technology eh lol...
