From Ward green not far from town centre :) and I'm in the process of doing so, a mate declared them to same insurance company and haven't heard him moaning about them so can't be bad.
ive got some 60mm springs for my dynamique and must say the ride's abit stiffer, fairly bad over speed bumps but defo not unbearable, yours will be better i would of thought though with 55 profiles as a pose to 45 on 16s,
not bad for £120 and fit them yourself! not hard!
decent! i wanted some TA one's but couldn't find any so just got some springs :/ same, just for looks really :)
And yeah all the women into cars round here probably have bigger man equipment than me.
Cheers for the replies lads, and for the 172 alloys i'm waiting to put on yes, but this second with the dynamique alloys no.
I have longer bolts that came with them and the bore of the spacer is something like 67 at a guess, so just thought if i could get something that went from say 67.1 to...
Cheers mate! yeah that lip does sound a likely option,
and sent a mate for 5mm a side but came back with closer to 10mm a side, will this effect whether i can centre them properly?
Hi,
Couple of problems really, 1st of which being trying to get to my brake pads as i've got a feeling they are on the way out, undid the two 13/14mm (cant remember which) bolts on the top and bottom of the calliper, and nothing, it moves about a decent amount but just won't come off the disc...
on the cars i've done stuff too, the intake just has a hose then a box with a filter on the end, and to put an induction kit on you just stick it on the end of the hose, but theres like no where to screw the filter to on these haha! so just asking if it came with the little black plate with the...
ahh its a right b*tch waiting for it isn't it! I've not long since turned 17, just insured provisionally atm. get a mate to learn you clutch control if you haven't already :) saves hassle on the basics .
yeah that looks dead reyt, are those wheel bolts supplied 5mm longer than standard i take it then? might join you on them spacers! going to have a measure as its not catching but just for peace of mind i think, especially for when its lowered.
just looked at your project thread, you 17 yet?
Cars looking nice bud, question about that K&N induction kit, did it come with the right bracket to fit it onto the intake thing? mines the same phase engine as yours and its not just a simple slip on!
Oh is it! Sure mine says 676 or whatever the code is, or is it that same?
Just checked and they tyres are still too close! Going have to get spacers! Back to 15" dynamiques for the meantime :(
Okay mate, sounds decent can't wait to get one now :) is pearl black and black/gold different colours?
Not sure about the liners, didn't looks anything too important, couldn't get the screws out so took a hacksaw to it
16" 172 alloys mate, just taken both the back liners out and think that's sorted it :)
Was the bumper hard to fit? Really wanting one when I can get my hands on a black/gold one!
yeah same ph2 1.2 :) that bolt that holds the liners in is a bugger to get out! cant take them out, got some 60mm springs wanting to go on but scared of it rubbing too bad when i put them on!
Yeah that was another thought, its all back together now so i'll have a bash at it then if its not playing i'll go down to somewhere.
Bit off topic but just put 172 alloys on a non sport and they're rubbing on the inside on the back, heard of anyone else having that problem? some decent spacers...
okay mate will try thanks, had me and a friend pushing as hard as we could, one on the spanner and one on allen key and nothing!
Looks to have had a recently new spring on that side so must have got a right steroid muncher to tighten it.
Its the drivers side i'm stuck on, the allen key hole's fine but its the 21mm nut that looks to have rounded off, so try and wedge the spanner up against the bulk head and try turn the allen key sounds the most likely with something shoved over the end..
thanks for the advice and i'll have a...
cheers lads, got the hub back on the strut with some playing, shoved a screwdriver through the top hole as it was lined up abit then messed about with it until the bottom hole was sitting right, so back on the road atleast.
Yeah top bolt looking to be rounding abit now, decent shout about...
