Had the problem and sealed the two slam bits on the side and noticed the rubber seal had the join at the bottom by boot catch. Changed it so seal is at the top and the boot is bone dry after heavy rain so anyone with the same problem try these and let me know if it worked for you

Yeah I would if the brightness seems the same and the levels will look different on the back of a car.

The amount of light should be the same as its the same bulb but just projected slightly different. If ever you drive on a dark road you should notice how the passenger light reaches out a little more down the road and lights the curb up more. It's part of a mot check I believe.

Passenger bulbs are supposed to be higher as they won't dazzle oncoming drivers as much and also light up the curb for driving on the left.
