Proper pistons.. You mean forged? They have a compression rating of 8.5:1. Not really needed, the ECU won't work with that. The car is for daily use so no need for alot more BHP!

At cold (first 500 meter or so) is doesn't make any noise when revving up. After that, it does :o

Hmmmhmm, i'm not planning to replace the head:o I'll have a look when we take the rocker cover off again soon! Thanks for the advice, i wont take those 5502402 shafts then :) I'll be back in this topic with pictures from the caps and shafts when taking off the cover again.

Mapping is not a problem. The lower bearing caps are also a bit damaged..

Excuse me, the type number of the shafts are 5502402! Does that makes any difference..?

The bearing caps are not that chubby, it's more that the shaft got some slightly damage. It's just like a break disc with grooves in it, but in the shaft it's much smaller :) I think that once fitted (bearing caps and a shafts) you need to replace them both. Again similar to break discs and pads.

Hello, Since i replaced the rocker cover gasket, the engine/exhaust makes a rattling sound when revvin up. The gasket is good, and i don't think it's de dephaser too? We also jacked the engine up (for cambelt change), so maybe the exhaust gasket is leaking? In free: Revving up slowly doens't...

Hello, Since my cat cams now in the car are a bit worn (got some damage from metal pieces in the lube canals). I'm now in a need of a new set cams. I found this uprated cams, type: 5502420. Will this fit into my clio without any other adjustments, i do need new upper bearings in the rocker...

Sounds like a good idea! The clutch is pretty good tho, picks up at the exact right moment and is strong. So no need for that :)

Yep, exept de cam belt is not original renault, but motrio.. Here in Holland renault dealers sells also motrio parts. It's the same exept the name. Same guarantee etc. I have the proper locking tools, i'll do the job with a car mechanic that has 30 years of experience :)

Haha yeah sorry, it's KM's! All parts are ordered for a total price of 404 euro's. Cam belt set was ONLY 90 euro.. good to hear :)
