Matt's too far away mate stays in irvine,ayrshire.Ive found another engine and someone who can fit one but just need to know if the megane engine is the same as the clio one,anyone know the engine codes?

My mate has a 52 plate clio 1.4 16v,was in at renault getting coil changed and asked the spanner monkey to have a look at the timing belt,was given the reply "its ok mate,dont need it at 55k" sure enough 3 days later it went,renault quoted nearly 5k for a new engine but is the engine the same...

And i/gf have to take some of the blame on the wheels sorry bud lol

Just picked up a clio 16v with a problem,turn the key it turns over but wont catch,floor the throttle and it will but you have to keep the pedal planted to get it to just tick over so its undrivable,anyone any ideas where to start,cheers

An astra sri 190,its quicker than the clio but at the end of the day its just another astra.Leave it in a car park it looks like all the other cars,the clio stood out a mile.

And i still regret selling it,looks good still

What the hell is a fly by wire throttle?Apparently thats what my car has and i dont have a clue what it means :confused:

Make sure the heater is turned to red and the air con isnt on

A******e with spraypaint,polished out of the body work and glass but cant get it off the wheels,thought about brake fluid or nitromors but they are quite extreme

Its just muck and dirt,shouldnt use it to get to work and back,quite impractical needs cleaned cos it really is a state:(

Trading in is better,my boss is in the same boat with a megane scenic,but they aint interested in takin it back unless he trades for another car.

on my rt the needle got stuck,thought it was doin well with £10,then broke down in middle of nowhere :oops:

The funny bit is your shocked its faster than a golf gti,completely different league,ive had loads of cavaliers,sri,gsi etc and the 172 is way quicker than any,even quicker than my mates 220bhp turbo until 2 miles down the bypass!enjoy but be careful with it till ure used to the power.

I was in that boat with my astra,just sold it to my dad,kept makin payments and banked the cash,bought it back 1 year later for 3 grand less and sold it to the dealer,and still had a bit of £ left,cheers dad:D

Yes they allow mods,but will only pay for OE parts if anything gets nicked/damaged.

I have a vibe cbr 12 active sub,it worked fine when i took it out in the summer just refitted it and its not working,the live and earth are fine,how do i check the rcas and switch wire are still ok and how can i check the amp is not the problem,cheers

Its all about personal choice at the end of the day,some prefer the megane,some prefer the clio.Everyone is different
