urrrmmm, we use a 12 tonne hydraulic press at work for bearings. gets them out fine but its not really something you can do without a press... and non genuine is fine. im using bearings that arent genuine and havnt had a problem... done a full day of track and hard road use often.... not a humm...
yeh well its cheaper than buying a new pump when you didnt need one. you might want to have a seive or something for your old fluid and see if you can see shards of metal from the pump. if there are and theres lots of them you might decide to replace hoses too
so after the criticism about my car i guess i should do something to it to make it up to a better standard. even if its still scrap value :p
whats a good exhaust for a mk1 clio? quality of noise and back pressure?
would ask on c16v but think they are a bit bias to the powerflow one i think..
have you tried flushing the fluid and puttiing more in? not halfords stuff? if your getting a whine and like a struggling sound at any speed it will be pump, and if it goes silent, your pump is burned out :)
