Don't worry about the mileage.100k is nothing. If the general condition and service history is all good, go for it. My 1.2 is on 145k and still runs well, no problems, just wear an tear. Keep up the maintenance and will be good for many more miles.
Glad you are ok. My son had a similar accident, parked his Mondeo in a cemetery wall, after only a month on the road. :slap:
Encouraged him to take a skid control course.
They can take a lot more than 100k, mine is currently on 142k, and still running well. My previous Mk1 had 165k when sold.
The gunk in the oil filler appears to be a fairly common if used for short runs.
