I'm in the process of considering buying a new Clio as my phase 1 is getting tired tbh. is it poss to swop the phase 1 front with a 182 or is it major pain ? Thinking buy a bumped one might be a idea but clios don't seem to take front ends that well lol

Mine also have screwed engine too, think if I don't find cheep enough engine I will just buy new Clio Phase 1

Happened on motorway on way home from work, just popped out of gear the wouldnt go back in, slowed downand put in 4th and I can get it in 5th if I rev the car up when changing gear but it just pops out when I come off the gas, the engine is also very tired too if I'm honest so think its time for...

Isn't the speedo drive in the gearbox a signal drive ?

Where is the breather on the Clio, is that the pipe ontbe throttle housing ? I have a spare breather from a cossie so though I may as well fit it Erm, where is the ports located as it's a tight engine bay and never done mods on itfor a while

I have a sealey obd scanner, not sure if it works on my phase 1 Clio but is spot on with the missus astra and sisters focus, reads the same fault codes as the techs snap on units at work Which I just google as I never seem to have the user manual , cost me 10 quid on eBay, resets codes too and...

I'm more thinking longer 5th gear and sit at 3800 to 4300 and save fuel, thinking of saving the trees and antarctic blah blah 4k I'm my impress is just over 100mph and works well on motorways though crap playing
