Sorry to revive an old thread but good to see no-name is finally getting the track time she deserves. My wife was one of the previous owners, and banderson should recognise it, he did the shocks on it when we lived in Thetford. Sounds like the guy we sold it to did some work, we sold it...
Morning all,
Been a while since I've been back here but spotted my old car on the A47 this morning heading into Norwich.
I sold it about a year ago to a guy near Ipswich but don't know what's happened to it since, don't know if it's the same guy or if she's been sold on again.
Anyone on here...
As the title says really, the time has come for the Clio to move on to other pastures for new adventures;

Having a mortgage means we can no longer justify the cost of running three...
I didn't think I could have and it would have been a pretty obvious **** up but just seems a bit odd that its only happening now and was fine before changing the gasket. The only difference now is the gap between the cat and the manifold is slightly bigger as there is actually some gasket...
Im pretty sure I didn't put the cat back in upside down but I'll double check when I'm back with the car later, don't think it would have gone back over the sub-frame if I had though.
Its definetely rubbing against something, I'll try to have another good look underneath but did look like it...
Hi,
I changed the cat to manifold gasket today as the old one was completely rotten and blowing. Got the gasket fitted and all tightened up but now the car vibrates like hell when accelerating. It only does it under load and is slightly better in 5th but still there if you put your foot down. I...
Just found out the horn on the clio isn't working (perfect timing with the MOT due in 3 weeks).
Its done it a few times before and the garages have always been able to get it working again but the receipt for the last work said that if it died again it would need a new rotary switch.
Seeing as...
Thanks for that, hopefully we can get it back to the garage in the next few days to find out for sure. A sensor sounds better than some of the bigger things that could have gone wrong.
Think oils the bane of my life at the moment, just had to do a run to the south coast in the micra...
Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is covered somewhere else, I'm on my lunch break and a bit short on time to go hunting through threads.
The clio's recently been serviced (normal interim service, not cam belt) by a reputable garage but now has the oil light coming on and off. I've done the obvious...
I thought I recognised the plate as being someone on here. Sorry, would have stopped to say hello but was in a bit of a rush and Boreham was just a pee stop.
Haha, I'm sure yours was cleaner! I'm currently doing 4-500 miles a week and its been a while since its had a bath! At least the dirtier...
Change a brake light and fixed the windscreen washers using the guide from on here. Lesson of the day, don't use a claw hammer to lever the wiper arms off, coming next week - replacement windscreen!
Just switched from T1R's to conti contact 2's. They do cost a bit more but they seem worth it. The wet grip difference is huge, had to be sooo careful on the toyo's but feel a lot more confident on the conti's. Think they were about £70 each off camskill but definitely worth the extra pennies.
Check that the cam belt was done by a reputable garage, seen no end of problems when people have had it done by a local garage without the correct tools.
SA05, last 3 digits like a high street music store.
Followed you from Bures to Sudbury at about 6ish.
I promise I'm not stalking you but I was also parked opposite you last night on Market Hill at around 7.
That's the one. I've just starting working back there again after living in Norfolk for a couple of years and it used to be parked there then so presume its still the same owner.
I'll see if anyone pops up on here, if not I'll pop a cs leaflet on it when I can find where I've put them.
Just noticed it tucked away behind the bank, anyone on here?
Seen quite a few 1*2's round here in the last couple of weeks since starting work round here but it's the first V6 I've seen round here.
Morning all,
Just starting using the 172 as my daily and shes decided that she doesn't always want to tell me how fast I'm going. Its been doing it on and off for a little while now and normally if you ease off the throttle the needle jumps back to life and carries on like nothings happened...
I'm about to switch daily's from the crappy but economical 1.2 micra to the 172, think my wallets going to notice the difference doing 400+ miles a week. Oh well, the fun factor will counteract the difference between 53mpg unleaded and 33mpg super-juice!
On the normal 16 Turini's. Most places seem to show them as needing 45, think it was black circles that said for the reg plate it needed 50's. 45's it is then.
Ignore me, I'm being a t**t!
On Camskill the pirelli's are £71 and the conti contact 2 are £70.80, so guess it just comes down to what is the better tyre. I can't even find the conti 5's now!
Just about to press the buy button and get some Pirelli Pzero Neros but noticed the continental contact 5's are quite a bit cheaper. Since they replace the conti sport 3 that everyone seemed to love, are they worth a shot?
Also, the cup has 45 profile shoes on at the moment but I'm thinking...
