    mate i have never said these tools are not required. i am wanting to know why these tools are reffered to as special cos there not! so why do you insist that garages would use half of these? maybe some around bedford do but i know that the garage that done mine used a renault timing tool kit...

    i am not saying that, i am saying that in some cars they will fit others, you keep refering to this tool as special danny, whats special about a cam sprocket tool? i know laser do a cheap one but sealey do them and so do snap on which are spot on items and for not a lot of dough.

    there is no such thing as a special locking tool mate! you and every other person on here are been fooled into this bullshit thing. all that tool is a cam sprocket locking tool. nearly all garages use it like it advises in guess what....Autodata!

    no service history after 30k, no proof of mileage unless he has old mot's and service records? cambelts will cost around 400-500 quid, thats seems about right priced then.
